Uno dei simboli della ‘Passeggiata’ di Viareggio, la pasticceria Fauzia, che unisce da quasi cinquant’anni all’eccellenza dei prodotti, la simpatia dell’intera famiglia. Un locale popolare, nel senso migliore del termine, dove si respira lo spirito del carnevale, l’ironia dissacrante dei viareggini, e un’umanità sempre più rara da trovare. Il progetto, che ha riguardato inoltre l’intera riorganizzazione funzionale e produttiva, ha cercato di esprimere architettonicamente questo spirito. Sono stati inseriti nel limitato volume forme ed oggetti liberi che dialogano con specchi in rimandi giocosi, interpretazione minimale di archetipi della tradizione figurativa locale, popolare e ludica. Il risultato è stato divertente, ha dato luogo a diverse interpretazioni: chi ci vede delle vele al vento,chi delle onde che si accavallano, chi delle stelle filanti con coriandoli.

One of the symbols of the ‘Passeggiata’ of Viareggio, the Fauzia pastry shop, which has been combining the excellence of the products for almost fifty years, the sympathy of the entire family. A popular place, in the best sense of the term, where you can breathe the spirit of carnival, the irreverent irony of Viareggio, and an increasingly rare humanity to find. The project, which also covered the entire functional and productive reorganization, sought to express this spirit architecturally. Shapes and free objects have been included in the limited volume, interacting with mirrors in playful references, a minimal interpretation of archetypes of the local figurative tradition, popular and playful. The result was fun, gave rise to different interpretations: those who see the sails in the wind, some of the waves that overlap, some of the streamers with confetti.
