Un piccolo negozio  sulla Passeggiata’ di Viareggio,  dove i fondi  raggiungono valori elevati e vi imperano ormai solo le grandi catene commerciali che  soppiantano tutte le piccole attività, come accade purtroppo in molti centri storici.

Committenti: una signora fiorentina, che ha vissuto la Viareggio della sua giovinezza, quando era il simbolo della mondanità e della spensieratezza, e sua figlia. La richiesta era di avere un ‘piccolo’ negozio, particolare,  un po’ sui generis,  per  offrire in vendita  accessori principalmente bijoux, ma anche cappelli, sciarpe, profumi, sapientemente trovati,  il tutto con un sapore un po’ retrò.
Abbiamo ascoltato con piacere le storie affascinanti di un periodo fatto di dame in vacanze, di negozi scintillanti, bella vita e  grandi speranze, e deciso che fosse giusto che il loro negozio rappresentasse tutto questo, attenti a non cadere nelle trappole del formalismo, delle citazioni, del falso storico,  e di dare invece un punto di vista, attuale e moderno, sensibile, per rendere omaggio ad una architettura e ad un’epoca.

A small shop on the Promenade of Viareggio, where the funds reach high values ​​and now only the large commercial chains that supplant all small businesses, as unfortunately happens in many historical centers.

Clients: a Florentine lady, who lived the Viareggio of her youth, when it was the symbol of worldliness and carelessness, and her daughter. The request was to have a ‘small’ shop, particular, a little on generis, to offer mainly bijoux accessories for sale, but also hats, scarves, perfumes, wisely found, all with a slightly retro flavor.
We listened with pleasure to the fascinating stories of a period of dame in vacation, of glittering shops, good life and great hopes, and decided that it was right that their shop should represent all this, careful not to fall into the traps of formalism, of quotations , of the historical forgery, and instead of giving a point of view, current and modern, sensitive, to pay homage to an architecture and an era.
